The Shakudo katana – Fuji Forge
The blad is handforged form High Carbon steel (1095)and differentially hardened in the traditional claying method with a nice hamon. The back becomes HRC 59 -60 HRC and the back HRC 45.
The kissaki is thicker for the hardness. The edge is whetstone sharpened. The blade also have signature.
The katana has not bo-hi so this makes it very strong.
The saya is gloss dark green and the sageo is made from cotton, also the saya has some nice cherry blossom inlay.
The Stuka is covered with genuine rayskin and the ito is made from green japanase cotton.
Tsuba is blackened iron and made according to ancient design.
The katana can you use for decoration but is fully functional for light Tameshigiri.
